Red Jacket Redux switches have a very pleasant deeper sound, and have a medium volume: not too loud and not too quiet. However, these switches have looser stems for mounting keycaps, and they are the loosest stem among my collection of switches: tofu, nixie, clackbits, ergo clear, gat ink black v2, zaku, and even looser than preference switches, just to name a few. In my limited testing, DMK Inazuma keycaps had the tightest fit on Red Jacket Redux switches, followed closely by GMK Euler. MW Barista keycaps had a loose fit that allowed some keycaps to be removed with just your hands and was borderline tolerable. SW La Vie En Rose keycaps were so loose it was a buildbreaker: I would occasionally knock a keycap off a stem while typing with an off direction flick. For that reason, I’m knocking off a star, as I cannot fully recommend a switch that sounds amazing like this and works well for GMK and DMK keycaps but are basically incompatible with some other keycaps.

If you're used to lighter 45 - 55g switches, this will definitely feel heavier but in a good way. These switches feel so nice to type on and I just absolutely love it! Definitely would recommend it to anyone who wants to try a linear that's heavy and can be a contender to light/mid tactile switches and if you're looking for a nice resistant feel yet still smooth as a linear should be!

Love these on an aluminum plate. Great sound and feel. Not overly clacky like many long poles, the sound is really well balanced. A tiny bit heavier than my other switches, but not crazy and still comfortable for daily use. If you think the weight will bother you, pick up some lighter springs to swap in but I recommend giving them an honest go first.

Sounds good. Not a lot of unwanted noise like spring ping or leaf noise. Love the switch color. A little scratchy but most switches have a little scratch.

Pure clacky goodness that will transcend you to keyboard heaven. They’re smooth right outside the box and there’s really no need to open them up.

Got these for my partner looking for a thoccy sound on his Glorious pro barebones. These paired with the glor keycaps plus foams created the exact sound and feel he hoped for.
