Five years, one bench.
KNC Keys was a veteran-owned switch shop run by one person out of San Antonio. No warehouse, no fulfillment team, no venture money. It opened on 16 October 2021 and took its last retail order on 30 September 2026.

Our story
KNC Keys started as a way to build keyboards for other people. The goal was a one-stop shop for newcomers — the place you could go when you didn't yet know what you didn't know. It launched with build and lube services, stabilizers, lubricants, and a small handful of switches.
The momentum came from the Red Jacket, and from Badseedtech featuring it in his QK65 review. The best-known product was the Green Jacket, which sold 130,000 units worldwide.
What I'm proudest of isn't a switch. It's the giving-back program.
The giving back program
Somewhere in my adolescence I got asked, in a group, what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a philanthropist," and got laughed at for it. Making some kind of positive dent in a rough world has been the thing I've wanted for as long as I can remember, and every one of you helped make it real.
Here's the whole record.

What I believe
Honesty and trustworthiness come first — if a switch isn't right for you, I'd rather say so than sell it. Your experience matters more than the transaction. And I don't accept anything short of you being satisfied with the work.
The mission never changed: bringing value anywhere, any place, and any time. For the sake of THOCK and/or CLACK.
The store is closed. The bench isn't.
Retail is done. Switch lubing, filming and stabilizer tuning carry on exactly as before, and I'm still the one doing them.
